Winner - Forbes Heritage Award 2021 (Acquisitive)

“I produced this painting specifically to enter the Forbes Heritage prize as the Bushranger Ben Hall is closely associated with the town of Forbes, as he is with many town in Central Western NSW.

Rather than tackle this subject of Australian Folklore in a traditional way, I decided to do the painting on plate glass to give the work a contemporary refresh, perhaps more approaching Pop Art.

This also happens to be my 100th in my series of works on glass”
